Canine cohabitant

Every morning at around 4 AM

My little buddy Peanut

Starts poking me in the head with his nose and

Vocalizing his impatience with my lack of movement

Then with great enthusiasm

He watches my every move 

As I prepare his breakfast

This 10 pound package of intelligence

Good humor and love

Brings joy and laughter into

Our lives every day

He follows my wife everywhere

If she's sitting he's in her lap

Or next to her

Get a dog
