New beginning's
Are often disguised as
Painful endings
About 50 years ago I read
Think and grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
And I learned that
Every adversity has within
The seeds of equal or greater advantage
And as the decades past
I form the habit of
Asking myself where is the good in this
So last fall I am on the interstate with a flat tire
And I'm muttering to myself
About a stubborn lug nut
And I remembered what is the good in this
Practice I realized I can practice being grateful
Grateful that I had a jack and tire iron
And that the spare wasn't flat
Grateful that it wasn't raining
Life starts a new each moment
If I look I can always find something
To be grateful for
New beginning's
Are often disguised as
Painful endings
